Treasured Memories (on Mother’s Day)

Treasured Memories (on Mother’s Day).

She has gone now, leaving us all alone

Sometimes I forget and pick up the phone

Ready to dial for our daily chat

A creature of habit, can’t help that

Suddenly, it hits like a blow

You catch your breath, then let go

Leaving an emptiness, a gaping hole

A loneliness in your heart and soul

Oh to hear her voice just once more

Or to see her walk through that door

Always a lady with her radiant smile

Elegant and graceful and oh such style

She has gone now, leaving only memories

Full of laughter and joy that please

While some can make you cry and weep

Those Treasured memories we will always keep.
